| My stay in the alps was right after I had arrived in Switzerland. The jet lag and high altitude was felt by my body. But fortunately I did not get sick and was able to enjoy several days of cozy relaxation in the shadows of the great mountains. It doesn't take very long to realize that respect for the alps is of utmost importance if you want to survive this rugged and cold climate. The air and water is the cleanest I have ever experienced. Raclette, Yogurt, cheeses, breads, coffees, teas and chocolate was our basic diet in the alps.Heavier foods to balance the difference in temperature and altitude. I was very amazed by the many fruit orchards and hundreds of vineyards located in every little space of useable land. | |||||
