Official Symposium 2000 Commemorative Coin

Alan LeQuire, well known sculptor, best known for his monumental Athena Parthenos, the largest indoor statue in the western world, has been commissioned to create the Official Commemorative Coin for Symposium 2000. See Alan's website here.

The Commemorative Coin will be collector grade and perfect for the serious collector or memorabilia enthusiast. It will be cast in bronze, approximately 5.25" in diameter. It will be sculpted in low relief with the image of Schweitzer on one side and Bach on the reverse. There will be two casting days for the Commemorative Coin: January 14, which will mark the 125th anniversary of Schweitzer's birth; and March 21, which will mark the 315th anniversary of Bach's birth. This will be the first time that these two great historical figures will be together on a work of art in bronze.

The Commemorative Coin will be a limited edition and each will be numbered by the artist. An attractive gold-stamped "Certificate of Authenticity," suitable for framing, showing the number and signed by the artist will be presented with each coin.

Orders are being accepted now for a donation of $250.00 or more. (Shipping in the U.S., $6.00; Canada, $9.50; air foreign, $26.00) Your donation is tax deductible and the check should be made out to Tennessee Players, Inc., and mailed to the address at the bottom of this page.

The Commemorative Coin will be a true work of art and will be sure to increase in value through the years. Seasoned collectors strive to get a low number in numbered art pieces and orders will be assigned numbers as they are received. So we urge you to place your order now. We are grateful for your support to help us truly make Symposium 2000 - World Peace through Reverence for Life the peace event of the millennium.
