Concerts and Events Worldwide

Symphony Orchestras! Chamber Groups! Chorale Societies! Organists! Theatre! Dance!

It is important throughout the world that those people who are familiar with Dr. Schweitzer be given this opportunity to reacquaint themselves with him and more important that his life and philosophy of Reverence for Life be introduced to a new generation. Symposium 2000 will remind people everywhere of both Schweitzer's and Bach's accomplishments and provide a fresh assessment of their many contributions.

The celebration of Symposium 2000 in Nashville will include concerts by The Nashville Symphony Orchestra , The Nashville Chamber Orchestra, etc. A film festival of major films relevant to world peace - spanning a seventy-year period - is planned for Vanderbilt's Sarratt Cinema.

Although the primary 16 day activities of Symposium 2000 - lectures, panel discussions, theatre, film, and concerts - will be centered at Vanderbilt University, concerts and related events will also be promoted around the world.

We invite every musician and singer in the world to share with us the anniversaries of Albert Schweitzer and Bach by performing concerts of Bach's music in October, 2000, during Symposium 2000.

What a wonderful opportunity this will be to share with thousands of organists and music groups all over the world by performing concerts celebrating this important event: "World Peace through Reverence for Life." Nothing can be more important. So please e-mail your interest, along with your address and affiliation to: Thurston Moore at Symposium 2000: symposium2000@webtv.net
